1. We love your portraits! How do we book a portrait session?
2. Do you have a studio?
Yes, my Hawk Meadow studio is a 1,200 square foot custom space with both indoor and outdoor portraits available. The studio is on 10 private acres of shooting area, located approximately 10 minutes from the Latrobe Road exit of Highway 50 in El Dorado Hills. Both studio and on location portrait sessions are available. Outdoor portraits are taken at various locations in Sacramento/Folsom/Placerville/El Dorado Hills and surrounding areas. Session locations are selected based on the desire of the client. All in person consults and sales appointments are held at the Hawk Meadow studio. 4040 Hawk Meadow Road, Shingle Springs, California.
3. I see a lot of high school senior girls on your website. Do you photograph families, children or high school senior boys?
Yes, I do! Please check out my blog for my latest posts from a variety of portrait sessions. If you would like to see a specific gallery of images, ask and I will send you a link.
4. We have scheduled a session, now what happens?
Prior to your portrait session we will meet in person to plan your shoot. At your consult, we will discuss shooting locations, clothing choices, weather, hair and make-up. In addition to planning, the in-person consult provides you and your family with the chance to meet me and become comfortable.
5. How many outfits should I bring?
Bring as many outfits, shoes and accessories as you would like. However, we can only use the count of outfits your session allows for. Please have all of your clothing choices ironed and hung on hangers to help with the selection process.
6. Where will I change when shooting at outdoor locations?
I have a popup changing room that we can setup anywhere.
7. Is makeup application included in my session?
No, professional hair styling and makeup application is not included in the cost of your session fee. However, I work on a continual basis with several professional hair and makeup artists whom I trust to provide a wonderful experience to my clients. The cost for professional hair and makeup application will be paid directly to the stylist.
8. Can other people be in my senior portraits?
I will allow others to join your session for a few minutes. This could be your family or your BFF however if you want them to be a larger part of your session there will be a $75 charge to add time to your session.
9. How do we order our portraits?
It is so exciting to see your portraits for the first time! Approximately a week after your portrait session we will meet at my office to view, select and order your portraits. Don’t worry I have software that makes the image selection process easy. Please bring all decision makers, you will be selecting your images to purchase and paying for the order at this appointment.
10. What do portraits cost?
For on location sessions, a la carte pricing is available with a $499 portrait purchase. A la carte pricing starts at, $99 for small prints, $199 for custom wall art and $999 for custom albums. Discounted portrait packages start at $499. Minimum purchase requirements are waived for sessions taken at the Hawk Meadow studio. Check out the Hawk Meadow Studio HERE. The minimum purchase amount for on location sessions is collected prior to the portrait session. If you have a budget in mind, please tell Audrey Perez Photography. Session retainers fees are non refundable. Due to the custom nature of the product no changes can be made to an order upon agreement, payment of the invoice.
11. Do you charge for editing an image?
I personally edit every ordered image for a beautiful polished look at no additional charge. However, there is a $15 charge per image for the removal of braces and the glare from glasses.
12. Do you sell digital files?
My goal is to provide your family with beautiful printed art. However, some clients want the digital negatives in addition to the printed portrait. Digital negatives are available for purchase as an add-on to portrait packages. Watermarked digital files for sharing are included with all portrait package purchases.
13. How long will it take to receive my order?
Your custom wall art and print order will be ready for pick-up in 2-4 weeks. Custom albums will be delivered in 4-8 weeks.
14. When will you post my portraits to Social Media such as Instagram?
I know that you are excited you share your portraits. I want you to share your portraits!!! Posts to social media sites are made when given the appropriate permission by the client and are based on the customer’s order. Only ordered portraits are shared on social media.
15. Does my session fee include prints, products or digital files?
Unless otherwise stated, the session retainer fees does not include the cost of custom prints, products or digital files. The session retainer fee covers the time and talent of the photographer which includes consult, portrait session, editing and preparation of your reveal session. The session retainer fee is required to be paid in full in order to schedule a portrait session. All major credit cards and personal checks are accepted forms of payment. The session fee is non-refundable however I will work to accommodate session changes due to illness, emergencies or weather within my schedule with appropriate notice.
Business Hours: Business hours for consults and sales sessions are Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm by appointment only. Portrait sessions are scheduled Monday-Friday until sunset. Emails, phone messages and texts will be returned within 24 hours, Monday-Friday from 9am to 5pm.
